Ill bet all of of my money and possessions that the world is not going to end due to climate change conspiracies.

Another potential reason for such dramatic consequences of wildfires and floods could be a poor funding of public sector due to ongoing crisis. So, climate change topic could be very convenient excuse in this case.
PS I'm not denying or promoting the climate change topic
