The worst time is when it's slightly too cold to sleep without one, but sleeping with one makes you slightly too warm.

What about sticking one leg out?

Have to have my feet covered or I start imagining snakes coiling up to strike at my wittle tootsies.
Meanwhile I kick the blanket off one or both feet and varying portions of my leg to cool myself off. Heatsink ftw!
