Piastri clips the wall
🌧️ It's raining in part of the circuit
It’s not a race weekend until there’s some Ferrari drama
What is this race direction? We're missing albon and Norris soft lap. Who is in charge this weekend? Seems worse than other weekends.
Technical issues for Zhou, that was quick
Wonder what the issue is. Hopefully he can recover tomorrow...
With the ongoing rain, that has to be the final classification. Great work by Hulkenberg and Alonso. Verstappen delivering as expected.
Unless the rain stops before the track is green flagged again. But it currently looks like it would take more than 7 minutes to form a dry line again, even if the rain stopped right now.
This new wall in the wet is pushing drivers out on to the racing line when they rejoin.
If its wet during the race, this has some dreadful implications.
That rejoin from De Vries is kinda spicy. Hope nothing bad happens during the race.
🟥 Red flag. Ocon stopped with some mechanical issue, told to stop the car by radio.
Bwoah what a quali session. Too bad about the penalty for Hülkenberg, but still a very good result. The Q2 Albon gamble was also amazing, as well as both McLarens being up so high in Q2.
Big names dropping out, small teams rising to the top, constantly changing conditions, this is peak entertainment imo. And somehow Max always comes through and puts the car where it should be, it's so impressive.
Ferrari need to shake things up, move some of the Le Mans team into senior positions. Winning has consequences.
Probably just me but this thread wasn't easy to find on chrome android or jerboa, even though it's pinned?
Yeah, pinning a comment seems pretty meaningless at the moment because Lemmy doesn't seem to be respecting the pinned status.
What happened to TSU? He pitted after the first lap?
predictions:
- At least 3 yellow flags
- Alonso gets mad at someone
- Ferrari amaze us with a strategy we’ve never seen before
- George gets upset with Lewis
- Lewis gets upset with George
Lewis is keeping up with Max. Oh wait as I type this he lost a couple tenths. Still, great pace of the Merc.
Russel has to retire with brake issues
Smashing into a wall must not be optimal for brakes if your car already has weak breaks.
what's going on with Ocon's rear wing?
It's waving at us!
11cm to the wall.
Thanks AWS!
"I want to win the race, mate"
Lmao Toto reenacting Alonso's steering in the pits
Voting for Albon as DotD, he's doing well in that Wiliams.
Max just being able to laugh off nearly beaching himself on the kerb because God knows no one's catching him
Good race. Sucks for Russell to retire after that comeback. Albon did excellent.
