As soon as the Scotland goal was disallowed, that was inevitable

Just explaining why people are mad. Never a foul, offside is understandable but that's not what was communicated

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Mate has this ref been payed off to make sure Spain qualify or something?

Seeing on telly now that a direct free kick was ruled out for offside?

For one of europes top teams spain are truly pathetic. cheating, diving and relying on ref favours to beat us. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Not sure why people keep saying this, it was announced as a disallowed goal for a foul and the on-field ref made the hand signal for foul.

This was not disallowed for offsides.

It was given for offside btw, not a foul

The VAR overlay said foul, the ref did the hand signal for 'foul' and not the raised flat palm for offside. Even if it's for offside, it is exceptionally soft.

Offside apparently.

Jesús Navas is eternal

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

You do if it's an interference because it's something that's subjective and it falls on the ref to say whether it is or not.

Was the Spanish player offside?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

That is interference clearly, he def made it harder to move for the gk and it's pretty obvious

the goal keeper could clearly move, that's why he clearly moved, just not in the right direction

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Impeded the keeper by breathing? he barely did anything to impede him, Simon didn’t even claim for it

Common Morata W

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

It seems so, yes. I'm almost certain, though, that the ref didn't put his arm up to indicate offside, rather signalled a foul. All a bit confusing.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I did not see the offsides review, all I saw was the goal disallowed for a "foul" plastered all over the TV and the ref confirming it.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

He has been doing this for literally 20 years on this level

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I think it’s the interference with the play that is reviewable, the offside is clear for the VAR team, the question is : does the Scottish player do enough to interfere with the play? Up to debate I guess
