[Horizon is joining the battle] Could we get Team AVOlition to join it? It's like a Moneycraft server, except funnier!
The reason why Steve Huffman is shooting his own trotter is likely emotional. See, humans are funny creatures: we get emotionally invested on our own decisions, and even when we do something blatantly stupid, we keep insisting to not lose "progress" on what we made. Specially when the human in question is a narcissist eager to call users "landed gentry" and to lie to them as if they were stupid. Couple that with investors likely wanting his liver on a silver plate on one side, and the entitled raging, and... well. This all is going to cloud one's (already poor) judgment, right.
And even this ingrained culture of malicious compliance in Reddit was fuelled by him. Mod guidelines being a fucking mess, bringing up a zombie admin account to kick off mods? That's maliciously abiding to the letter but not the spirit of the rules... and the users are only answering in tone.
I'm loving everything about this. πΏπΏ
I think this commenter hit the nail on the head
lol, that twat hasn't learned a damned thing
Hahahahaha! Love it! Basically a Ddos without a botnet. Just an army of people fed up with u/spez. Sending a message to the technocrats!
I'm surprised all the protesting moderators haven't just gone on strike, disabled Automoderator, relaxed all of their rules, unbanned every user, then just said "we're not enforcing the rules anymore, go fucking nuts."
Like a more extreme version of what happened with /r/worldpolitics.
