Dementia. He was 86.

It's a rare moment when a legitimate legend of the game goes, especially one that at least appears to be universally liked. Hell of a legacy.

Not a bad age to go at, to have had such an incredible life and lived a long and happy retirement.

RIP to a great, he'll long live in the history of both England and Man United

In some way I equated old trafford to him. Great ambassador.

It was always nice to see him in the crowd. The man loved the club and the club & fans loved him. RIP Sir Bobby.

One of the absolute titans of the English and world game. I dont really think there's many left from england from his level of greatness. Him, moore and banks were an outrageous spine to have in a team

Magnificent player and an even better man. Manchester United and England legend. Such dignity. He will be sorely missed.

True Gentleman of the game.

A career and life that is film worthy. What a man he was.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Rip. I'm too young to have watched him play but I respect his legend and legacy.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

What a man. To come back from what he did and win the CL was an unbelievable story.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

RIP to a legend

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Tragic, but what an iconic life he lived. He saw it all.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I just woke up. What a shit news to wake up to. He's the first football player to win the Ballon d'or, the world cup and the European Cup. Absolute legend. I see him at almost every game on the telly. To become one of the pivotal players in the club during its era of success after everything he's been through, it takes a special kind of willpower and courage it's hard to see in a human being. Lost almost all of his friends in the air disaster, and then somehow picked himself up to be dubbed one of the best players of all time and even led the club to a European Cup. RIP. Absolutely devastated to hear this news.

The Greatest.

A man who defined Manchester United.

Horrendous news.

Rest in Peace Sir Bobby. You'll never be forgotten.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Sad to see him gone, he was an amazing player and person, helped to rebuild Man Utd after Munich, and played a key role in England's 1966 World Cup Win. May he rest in peace.

Dunno if anyone here is as old as I am, but feels like another link to my late dad is gone. So many stories of Bobby and Jackie and Martin and Nobby. He was there the day they won it all.

Charlton, Edwards, Law and Georgie Best.
