Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. will opt into his $18.5 million player option for the 2023-24 season, his agents Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton of Klutch Sports confirmed to Chris Haynes of TNT.

I am not a huge GTJ fan but $18M sounds about right for him.

Its a deal, reports last year were the Lakers were going to go after him. I'm guessing the rise of Austin Reaves changed things? But ether way dudes a steal machine and can put up an efficient 16 were laughing for 18mil.

Edit: He wants to stay in Tortonto!
