I can't fathom that this is an offsides, it's cunt-hairs. But both sides will argue forever.

As the laws of the game stand it is offside, however I do feel like it should be measured from the feet. I know you can score with your head, but there is always going to be a certain amount of lean while sprinting. Arms/shoulders shouldn’t come into play because a defender on the half turn is going to have their arm out for balance as they’re turning (shown in the photo). I’d prefer feet as the point of measure, but from the current rules it is offside. Fine margins at such high speed though.

Offsides should be judged by foot position only, change my mind.

The call is obviously a correct one. My personal belief is that the laws of the game in conjunction with the technology we have should change to allow these plays to stand and count as goal. It’s frustrating to see such offsides like this stand when the reality is the attacker isn’t gaining an actual advantage with the 3 inches of space

I think offside should be checked on the foot positions only.

It feels like VAR and refereeing in Europe are better than in some top leagues, the amount of shitty mistakes even using that same fucking technology in La Liga & EPL is unbelievable.

Love this technology. Look how accurate it is. The only issue is I have in situations like this is that I just don't understand how an advantage is gained to an unfair degree. Of course you can't have everything and whilst the rules state that this is offside then I'm happy for it to be called, but for the sake of the game I would like to see decisions like this have a different ruling. It's a pretty hard road to navigate.

Okay hear me out…the head and other body parts shouldn’t count unless they are the part that controls the ball. His head is offside but his feet aren’t which is what he uses and controls the ball with.

Bullshit. All of it. That’s a fraction of a second difference right there and probably less than an inch… what about the right moment when the kicker passed the ball? Could have been a fraction of a second before or after and it would change everything too.. I mean, I get the positive aspect of the VAR and all but man.. calling an offside that close is just BS.

Someone with an outstretched leg to poke in a cross should be commended for the effort of getting to the ball while the bulk of their body is behind the defender, not punished.
