Has anyone tried running Lemmy as an onion service? Is there any technical reason not to do so?

I have had issues logging into Lemmy through Tor. Not sure why.

More Tor support would be amazing imo.

Maybe related: after I log in (in Tor Browser) the UI still shows the login button in the top right. When I refresh the page it comes right.

Also noticing that. I also noticed that I would logout, refresh, and still be logged in to my account. Using Tor Browser 10.0.6 JS enabled

I used to have the same problems connecting on VPN from many hops away before they bumped the websockets timeout. In the console it would say something like “websocket connection closed before loading”. Do you see anything like that?
