I'm sorry for not having kept up with this place in a few days. I've been trying to leave comments on people's replies and posts but my Lemmy app keeps giving me error messages ("language_not_allowed") — and, no, I'm not swearing my head off. 😅 I think it's a borked language setting.

I'll look into finding a better solution.

Ahhh, that was it! The community language was only set to "English." I have set it to both English and Undetermined, as you suggested, and now it works! Cheers so much!!! 😂❤️❤️❤️

Jerboa. But Cold Hotman (comment below) solved it! It was a community language setting problem and it's been fixed now. :)

One quick question, since I am still figuring out how to interact with Lemmy via my Mastodon account: your posts appear to me without your usual avatar (instead I see the default elephant avatar). Didn't you set one in Lemmy, or might this be a Mastodon <-> Lemmy quirk? 🤔

Ah, uh... turns out I can't upload an avatar. I keep getting a json error. I think it's because my avatar png is too big. I'll think of something later. Not a biggie in my book.
