IIRC this guy is an anti-feminist crypto-bro and firm ally of US imperialism. If reddit were a person...

I don't know anything about the political atmosphere within SK but it seems absolute nuts. Moon Jae In was a moderate who was the first president to honourably culminate his term. At the back of his term, there is this guy.

I always get totally lost whenever I read the West trying to justify their position of "Everyone we hate having nukes is dangerous and crazy and stupid. But everyone we like having nukes is necessary and actually prevents nuclear war. Somehow." The Korean peninsula is exhibit A in this hypocrisy.

It's not just about limiting nukes to allies, but not introducing nukes to other regional power conflicts. Case in point is both North Korea and Iran. Right now, much of the region around North Korea operates under the nuclear umbrella of the United States. That allows them to relax any nuclear ambitions knowing that they have a deterrent. Same with Iran and other countries, chiefly Saudi Arabia. There gets more complicated, since Israel's nukes give Iran a legitimate defensive reason to want nuclear weapons.
