the 49ers are so much more advanced in their thinking , than the other pro sports franchises.

Who would have thought to ask for a lower price in a trade ?

That must be like AI analytics or something.

I see Nick bosa has loaned his copy of art of the deal to John lynch

"A third and a box of Ghiradelli for the Mrs is best I can do"

Thank God the press has broken this amazing story that a trade was the result of negotiation.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's just the title of the article, not the full report. It's just an article providing more context around the trade, which is a very normal report. It's not supposed to be breaking news.

Shitting on the media makes me feel superior and gets upvotes though.

They asked for the best and final offer.

"I know you asked for a 2nd, but can I get him for a 3rd? It's for my kid."

“Hope you’re happy cuz you just ruined my son’s birthday!”

"It's for church, honey."

Flips them off as he zooms by a homeless person

Can anyone NOT see Ron Rivera falling for this?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I mean 3 is bigger than 2 so that's better right?

“Can’t go much lower pal. You know this is a JSA CERTIFIED Chase Young, right? That doesn’t come cheap.”

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Here my dumb ass is after reading the headline trying to figure out why a story about Steve Young to the 49ers was a price drop.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

My old ass immediately thought Steve too

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

My gut reaction was Bryce Young, then my mind jumped to Steve Young, then finally settled on Chase Young. I haven't had my coffee yet.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Old person checking in. Yep, that was might thought as well.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Sir can I buy this Young? For my D-line please. You see they’ve been shit for quite awhile and I know this Young would make them smile if they face the Eagles, in playoffs

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Also isn’t that just how trades work? You ALWAYS start way higher than whatever you’re actually willing to settle for.

“We want a 2nd and a 5th”

“No, we will give you a 3rd”

“Okay deal”

AKA owners know that they profit too when the 49ers bring in a lot of viewer numbers. Same story in the NBA, all talent funnels to California because owners know that's who people watch

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I’m glad they’re on at 1oclock so I can watch Chase run 3 yards past TLaw every play.

At this point teams should be calling Washington pre-draft to tell them which players they like so it’s easier to trade for them in a few years.

By getting a 3rd round pick for someone who is trending bust and contract is up after year?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This just says to me that Washington was eager to get rid of him and just wanted to make sure they got something for him, even if it was a comp pick. That says a lot about what they think about Young. But I have a feeling that he’ll shine on the 49ers. Pairing him with Bosa will make that team a defensive powerhouse.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They…. Negotiated? Interesting way to word the article

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Niners used a third round comp pick they got for developing a minority executive (Ran Carthon) who got hired by another team. Which means they got him for free. And they might get a 3rd if he leaves in FA.

Never deal with John Lynch.
