I think Arteta is unrealistic to expect him to accept this, if it was a tournament gap year he would probably be inclined to wait it out a bit longer but with the Euros around the corner I would at the very least be demanding a half season loan out if I was Ramsdale, especially now Southgate has warned him.

He has to be playing first team football this season, it was naive of Arteta to bring Raya in as clear first choice and expect Ramsdale to stay.

Feel a bit sorry for Ramsdale. He's a brilliant keeper but Raya is just slightly better as far as I can tell from the outside. I don't know how Arsenal fans feel about it.

Players get dropped or replaced all the time. Why is there so much fuss about this particular instance? We also know from history these things have a chance of changing quickly.

Arteta caused so much mess by trying to be smart and push this idea that goalkeepers can just be rotated like every other position. If he had just came out and admit that Raya was going to be first choice then it would have been much smoother.
