But it did solve Sean McDermott's #1 problem: sacrificing a fall guy to keep his job for a bit longer.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that Daboll was more responsible for Buffalo’s success than McDermott.

I've read this article twice now, and the premise is just so unbelievably flawed. Sean McDermott is on record in press conferences that he wants the team to have the THREAT to run the ball and for opposing defenses to RESPECT that.

This article shouldn't be taken seriously, as its whole premise is based around "reading the tea leaves" of McDermott press conferences while leaving out DIRECT QUOTES that contradict the thesis of this article.

McDermott is the guy who hired Daboll, a coach who had many more failures than success in the NFL, and put him in a position to succeed. The pass-first, run-second mentality IS McDermott.

There's a reason you don't see notable beat reporters, who actually cover this team every day, engaging in this kind of drive-by punditry.

Man people always want to fire a coach these days lol acting like this guy didn’t turn the Bills into a good team for once over the last two years

It’s in team structure: their offense is too one dimensional. That’s it.

Dorsey is just McDermott’s fall guy.

I think the Bills biggest problem is Josh Allen's apparent color blindness

It's also #0 problem - Josh Allen

This article and most of the replies are ridiculous hot takes. If you watch Bills games the Offense since last year is different. Especially against good teams. We won a lot of games last year but it was a struggle and shit show against bad teams and the D bailed us out even with injuries. I believe Beane and McD have been watching the progression or lack of in the offense since mid-season last year and finally had to make a change.

If the Bills fire McDermott, pls Kyle/John go get him for DC

I wish McDermott could figure out game management in crucial situations. If he would have made one correct decision in any of these situations, this thread does not exist.

Why is Ron Howard head coach of an NFL team?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I mean, being third fiddle to the Chiefs and Bengals isn't necessarily a failure, especially for the post Jim Kelly Bills. It's like the early Favre Packers teams, usually stuck behind Frisco and Dallas. They'll probably have a break through eventually, I don't think coaching is the issue.

Yes. Fire him please

Had me in the first half, but then started talking about games they lost because they sucked at running the ball, but didn't Sean want to fix that? Isn't he right that you have to be complimentary? especially when you play in windy and cold ass buffalo

Bills fans sounding like Captain America in this thread

"I know, I know"

maybe quit asking josh allen to be the hero all the time. not every play has to be a 20 yard pass.
