Justin Herbert is just not a complete player, he needs to be better on defense if he wants to win. That’s all
He needs to be able to motivate and will his defenses like Tom Brady
Nah, he just needs to be clutch every once in a while and stop missing wide open receivers and stop side arming balls into the helmets of his own lineman.

He gets a ready-to-go offense, and only has play decent defense. Plus remove the Staley Plays (aka shooting yourself in the foot). Easy 10 wins for 2-3 seasons will surpass Shula overall and regular season record.

I feel bad for Herbert, because I can feel people getting antsy and looking at him more critically. Like why he isnt elevating this team above mediocrity. But that defense is terrible, and basically has been since he's been there. Their best defensive ranking in points allowed is 21st, which not coincidentally was last year when they won 10 games.
