I’ve built super teams in Madden on the regular.
NFL
A place for NFL news, game highlights and everything that excites you about American Football.
Sounds like no matter who it is, the owner is going to meddle.
Not ideal.
While things can certainly change, it seems like Peters is content where he is being that he turned down GM interviews this past offseason. And with Lynch’s promotion, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Peters get promoted to GM this off-season.
I think Slowik is in similar situation where if he wants to be a HC it’s likely some team will give him a shot. He’s a Shannahan disciple and with Stroud’s immediate success there’s going to be a lot of interest in him.
I could make myself available. Not to brag, but I'm on r/nfl like every day.
Our COO Mike Disner is going to be getting GM interviews sooner rather than later. He’s been Brad Holmes’ understudy for a few years now
How about we keep him though.
I'm curious why any hot GM candidates would ever want to work for an owner who meddles as much as Tepper. I know there is only 32 GM jobs, so it isn't that the job will be hard to fill. What motivation would there be for a guy like Peters, who could basically have any open GM job he wanted ( and by all accounts doesn't want to leave the bay area), to go work for an idiot like Tepper?
That's my exaxt thought. Tepper is a non-stop meddler whose impatience has been the defining trait of our current never-ending rebuild. If you had other options, why choose this one?
Need a subscription (worth it imo) but PFF just had a very long piece with dozens of GM candidates and the details about each of them
What’s your login, I’ll give it a go
Adam Peters is not leaving. If he was going to he would have by now. He gets offers every single year and never takes them. He doesn't want to leave the bay.
adrian wilson could be nice
Alec Halaby?
You do not want Slowik, idk why his name keeps getting brought up. Maybe with like 5 more years to bake he can be good.
Steve Keim.
Ian Cunningham seems like he’ll be a GM eventually. Who better to have than one of the guys that made the Bryce Young trade happen?
Tepper is 1000% keeping him long enough for him to make one more horrible trade or signing
You can only have Adam peters if we find out he’s part black like McDaniel, we need more third rounders
No he can't.
Jed needs to bump Lynch up to president with a raise and make Peters the GM already
I wonder what the cutoff is. Do you have to be at least 50% black/Asian/Hispanic etc.
Stay away from Slowik, he needs more time to season and there are plenty more offense oriented coaches if you want to go that route. Though I think Mike MacDonald will be getting looks too. Reverse the New England-Detroit pipeline and lure Ben Johnson over with his pick of QB from this upcoming draft.
For front office, I'd look to see if you can poach anyone from the Ravens (or of course if there is someone that wants to come over with Ben)
Steelers assistant GM Andy Weidl. He's been through the Ravens, Eagles and now his highest position with the Steelers. He's gonna be a GM some day it's just a matter of when.
This was my thought as well. He was a genius on the Eagles, Khan specifically wanted him, and so far he's looked great with us. Would love to see it in a year or two
Stop taking our staff
William belichick and Billy belichick might be available.
I’m going to be downvoted like crazy but someone has to start poaching the front office of the cowboys, they have been amazing on drafting and acquiring talent
Bobby Slowik will be busy, sorry.
Take Dorsey you cowards
If I owned the Panthers, I'd hire Rick Spielman.
Peter's could have been a GM a long time ago, but he chose to stay with the 49ers. Our fanbase is constantly asking to promote Lynch as president and Peter's as GM so we won't lose him. They don't remember the interview of Peter's and his family loves the bay and doesn't want to uproot them.
I feel like knowing how incompetent Tepper is he is overdue to try on a “Patriots way” cycle.
Am I crazy or should Louis Riddick have been hired by someone already? His name is always brought up and he’s interviewed a couple of times. He seems like he’d be a solid GM somewhere
As solid as Condoleezza Rice.
can y'all let us win a superbowl first before poaching us again? :(
Slowik is a passionate racist, id stay away from him
Found David teppers account
Pretty cool to see David Tepper crowdsourcing his GM search on Reddit. Hi Dave!
Nicole Tepper is the one in charge of
Glenn Cook of the Browns is likely to be a GM soon. He'd be a good pick.
Ray Agnew Lions AGM will likely get interviews this year
It would take a lot to get Adam Peters out.
He has turned down numerous GM roles in the past because he has been around the 49ers most of his life and doesn’t want to move.
Obviously a perfect situation might tempt him, but he might be looking for a GM role here because Lynch could get the President position (which was just added as a title for him)
Ray Agnew is lowkey my prediction
I was gonna suggest Adrian Wilson as I recall him being linked to the Jags GM job (if Leftwich became HC)
Googled him and noticed he's already on the Panthers staff, potential internal appointment?
It’s only a matter of time before Mike Borgonzi gets poached to be a GM somewhere. He’s Veach’s right hand guy and an incredible talent scout. He’s gotta be in any conversation for new GM after this season (please God not the Raiders).
Give Veech a blank check to come to Carolina from KC
On a somewhat unrelated note, is there really any coaching candidates to get excited about besides Ben Johnson?
Are the Texans finally good enough to get coaches poached? Wow
I think this is the year Ravens Director of Player Personnel (former director of college scouting) Joe Hortiz leaves the team to be a GM somewhere
The Eagles got like 15 gm ready candidates in the stable
