Shut up Rex!!

Brandon Staley is a goat coach and should be properly rewarded with a big extension.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Rex Ryan dragging an NFL head coach for idiocy? Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Rex Ryan is like a fatter, younger, Donald Sutherland in this picture.

He’s really good at TV. He’s funny as hell and willing to call out players or coaches by name. He straight up said every time Dak throws to Michael Gallup it’s a waste of a play.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

That seems unfair to the Division 3 team that gets stuck with him

Lombardi was just a scapegoat, Staley always been the problem

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (12 children)

Feel like no matter what QB, the chargers has still been the same team for the past 20 years.

Score pts, can’t win. Have offensive talent, can’t win. Look good on paper, can’t win.

What needs to change to end this curse?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

almost like they’re the clippers. simply cursed

The Marty Curse^TM

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

They’re the Jets but opposite:

  • opposite coast
  • don’t allow the other team to score points, can’t win
  • have defensive talent, can’t win
  • look good on paper, can’t win

That’s basically been the last 20 years for NYJ.

Rwx is right but I'm still amused that it's coming from a guy who took over one of the better defenses in the Bills and ruined it because he only has one scheme

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

exactly! rex isn’t exactly vince lombardi

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

He was such an unprofessional clown, too. Sending out the guy who broke Geno's jaw for the coin toss against the Jets? Come on, man

I was 100% on team Staley but he definitely lost his shine. I'm not sure he's surviving this season. I'm biased but I'm not even sure he has a job after the Ravens game.

The sharks are circling. It's almost over.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Please make it today, lfg sharks!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Charger fans: Good

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

He should have been fired after last season though. Nothing that's happened this season has come as a surprise.

Sharks started circling last year looking for instances of "chargering".

Spanos after reading all this, then remembers that Staley gave him the game ball

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Keep piling on, force the FO's hand - we're begging you.

Be not shit for one time, NFL media.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I’m a Chiefs fan and even I’m getting pissed at Staley lol.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I've said it before, but Staley only got that job because he inherited a Wade Phillips defense for one year. The Rams offense was sputtering and the defense had to pick up the slack, so Wade got the boot, and surprise they "rebounded" next year when the offense got it together. (After they traded for Stafford, oddly enough).

It's why one-year coordinators always need a deeper look from teams than just "oh this guy did great, hire him for an HC job".

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

You wrote a lot of words just to be completely wrong about the whole timing of Staley lol. Stafford wasn’t there with him…

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

It’s amazing how much Staley has destroyed his reputation over the past 12-18 months

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

He should have been bounced the second Jacksonville made that game winning field goal back in January.

Sean Payton: The coaching for the Broncos last year sucked

This subreddit: fuck Sean Payton, I hope he burns in the deepest pits of hell!!

Rex Ryan: Brandon Staley can go fuck himself, Pop Warner is that way, buddy!

This subreddit: I love Rex Ryan, he’s always telling it like it is!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Shitting on your predecessor as the new HC vs being an analyst who's paid to give his opinion on the game.

Nah, these situations are the exact same.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Yes. And the problem is?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Payton is a dick. We all know he was in on bountygate. But he's a good coach.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Sean payton:helped organize and run a program that rewards players for injuring offensive players and has always been a smug asshole

Ben Johnson is going to be such a good HC for them.

Time to fire this clown and let Moore get his shot.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Hoping the bears hire Ben Johnson but he's good so they probably won't because the ownership sucks.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (3 children)

Who lasts longer? Staley or Jimmy Carter?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I'll take Jimmy

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Now that his wife is gone, I think Jimmy will stop holding on. He's the sort of person who would refuse to die first to spare her the pain.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Honestly probably Staley

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Hey Rexie, how ‘bout a giant glass of “SHUT THE F*CK UP”

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago
[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This is ridiculous. Rex is being completely unfair. He is the perfect coach for the Chargers, and it will be a sad day that I will mourn if they fire him.

Say it louder for the people in the back, Rex!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

This dude couldn’t coach a DIV 1 defense against a JV high school squad.

How many times did we see 3 DBs 25 yards off the ball. That shit does not fucking work

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (5 children)

“He was a coordinator for one year on a team my wife could coach”

God damn Rex lmao

It’s astounding that this team doesn’t have 7+ wins

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Lol damn, in a day and age of using kid gloves this was a haymaker. Rex ain't wrong though. No excuses for that record, for awful drafting and for terrible defensive playcalling. That's all Staley.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Non of us can take another day…swarm this clown!!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Rex let’s not act like you were crushing it at HC either buddy

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

He is an above .500 coach, he should get a 4 year extension.

Everyone in the AFCW is rooting for him to get an extension!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

sports media needs to be overhauled. scrap like 90% of the people involved today and start over.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

9-7,11-5, 8-8, 6-10, 8-8, 4-12, 8-8, 7-8 (Fired).

The guy had one above average season and ESPN calls him an expert.

I guess in this case it's accurate, if Rex is considered an expert in lackluster coaching.
