So glad we’re still talking about this

So is the lesson to not be an advocate for the whole lbgt thing? Because dozens of footballers joined the saudi league from Europe this summer and as far as i can see the only one getting this kind of negative reaction is the one guy who went out of his way to be an ally for them.

Oh no… anyways

Ffs, how does him playing in whatever country affect yourself as being LGBT? Him being an ally or not shouldn’t affect your life. It’s not like Henderson’s gonna come hunting for people.

Pretend like you people give a dog crap about lgbt.

Why is making the best financial decision for himself be seen as bad? He went for the 💰

Can't blame him.

I don't get the logic here. So anyone against wars, massacres and imperialism should not be playing in the US or Europe?

Since the US and Europe participated in invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, since they openly support the war crimes commited in Gazza, does that mean every professional, earning money in these countries cannot be against wars or war crimes?

Or anyone earning money in Russia, should be blamed for Russia's invasion of Ukraine?

Such bullshit, if you're gay you're gay, you don't need Jordan Henderson or anyone to be a martyr for you. Henderson has no interest in you or your life, only for himself. Be your own hero and don't rely on celebrities or footballers to speak on your behalf. 99% of them are fucking idiots anyway.

Well David Beckham was in Qatar's backpocket for sponsoring tourism-- even with their egregious human right record. Sporting figures are not acting out of altruism or causes, they are like any other professional whose talent lies in playing football and getting paid a pretty penny for doing so. I'm confident that most players are apolitical (and taking the knee was probably promoted by the EPL rather than a collective action by players).

Let him do what he wants to do. It's no one's business, but his.
