In 2023 this large nest near Manhattan KS hosted Great Horned Owls. Last year, Great Horned Owls. This spring it seems to have reverted back to being a Red-tailed Hawk nest.

@edwilk@mstdn.social Good story! If it was a dark-morph Western (calurus) redtail, it probably had a lot of red on the tail; hopefully it took off and showed him that tail!
