This reminds me of LinkedIn lunatics. Funny

You can get a bunch of funny posts, the moderation is really good, people typically say what they think and aren't cowed into saying what is expected and so I like to believe there is some version of free thought happening. I like it, it's been a good experience. Yeah I blocked all the random stuff that I didn't like and it wasn't a problem. Any instance you choose is going to have something that you find obnoxious for whatever reason and you're going to have to block those communities. Additionally you're going to encounter some random instance that you find obnoxious at the instance level and you can block the entire instance.

I don't think that purity testing people is an attractive method of talking about free software? We should meet people where they are, and besides, if games are good, they're good. Doom started out as proprietary software and got GPL'd. It's also cool to think that reverse engineering software, like in the case of OpenMorrowwind, is a thing. Besides, I pirate proprietary software all the time with cracked DRM. The harm is in the restriction of user freedom, not necessarily in the existence of the laws if you view the laws as fake and don't adhere to them. Let's talk about cracking DRM and decompiling these games. Let's talk about modding them. Let's talk about making servers and playing them online together.

"The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel." - William Gibson, Neuromancer

Gibson describes the static as metallic, silvery gray in an interview.

"The sky was the perfect untroubled blue of a television screen, tuned to a dead channel." - Neil Gaiman, Neverwhere

I remember the white static myself.

If you have a computer and graphics card you could try some local llms. They are pretty awesome and you get to keep your days. I use oobabooga and stable diffusion with Silly Tavern as the glue to hold it together. I get model cards from character Hub

I wanted to gauge interest in Tribler. It claims to be a tor-like p2p client created by privacy researchers. Has anyone had experience with Tribler? Did you get any takedown notices? What were speeds like?

Should one use 2.0 or infinite?
