Greta is correct, but I fear that the full power of the continued red scare will be brought to bear and inflict the final blow on her having much sway in the States.
Tell them I said get off my lawn.
Unironically, we could point to a system who's abuses cause the subject to be depressed and anxious and have poor coping skills........
If I sound pleased about this, it's because my programmers made this my default tone of voice. I'm actually quite depressed!
Based.
I was pleasantly surprised that even the ex-FBI agent was fairly realistic about armed movements on the left. Nice to see people you least expect push back on bs from bad actors like Cato.
I call it that for several reasons.
- What constitutes a crime is often, and increasingly, political.
- What pushes/forces people into crime is almost entirely political.
- The for-profit prison industrial complex and the slave labor it provides are DEEPLY bound up in politics.
- The for-profit (gulag) prison system here in the states is bigger, crueler and even less necessary than the one I was told in school was SO scary and such a crime against humanity.
- Calling it a gulag system draws attention to the intentional cruelty that plagues this country, and (I hope) helps people consider that better methods are not only possible, they actually exist and work.
The gulag system in America is so fucking horrifying and crazy. Anyone who thinks this is a free country is drastically removed from reality.
The Dahmer show on Netflix got me listening to the Dahmer album by Macabre. Previous to that it was a lot of Panopticon and Castrated. I imagine Boards of Canada is radically different, but I'll make a mental note to check them out later.
What I was trying to get at is a series of questions. Your voice has rung out with a chorus of other voices, telling us that covid isn't that bad, we can just forget about it. But logic dictates that I ask, who benefits from putting it out of mind and forgetting about it? Not the millions of dead. Not my friends and family struggling through long covid symptoms. Not me if I catch it and have to take time off work. The capitalist death cult definitely seems to think they benefit off forgetting it though.
Then I have even more questions. I live in one of the wealthiest nations in the world, and our response to the crisis was abysmal, eventually bordering on non-existent. We dropped the ball a long time ago, why this insistence on forgetting that it is/was possible to NOT condemn millions to death and suffering so that wealthy people's wealth and power machines could keep going 'brrrrrr?' Will we learn anything from this mass casualty event? Or just keep sacrificing blood and bodies to Mammon?
I feel like the bottom corner of that meme: "wait, you guys have covid related infrastructure?"
Aw, that's a nice change from the usual US spies creating secret terror armies.
