Justin Fields

I just dont know how you can be. He has won 6 games in two years (yes, I know the defense hasnt been good). He tends to make some great flash plays & often makes something out of nothing but he has to be one of the most unclutch players I’ve ever seen. He hasnt had one game winning drive his entire career. So many times the Bears will have a chance to win it at the end and he’ll throw a pick or get strip sacked. Still holds the ball too long at times. Still takes way too many sacks (just look at Bagents sack numbers versus Fields). A good QB has to elevate the team around him, point blank. People have given him every excuse in the book.

If you’re Poles…and your seat is likely getting a little warm, why would you hitch your wagon to Fields again? Drafting a QB likely buys you another year or two. Not saying that Caleb or Drake are the answer but it doesn’t appear that Fields is either.

I am a fan of JF1 btw and I think he can maybe be a serviceable starter (in the right situation)…just not a top tier QB IMO.

Welcome to Chicago, Ben.

This gives me a little bit of a hope as a Bears fan. To be average despite numerous injuries & the worst center play in the league means its promising for next year. Just gotta replace Whitehair 🤢

It was after half time against the Bears. Fields hung 28 in the first half & then it felt like we saw a different defense in the second. It’s been upward since then. Kudos to VJ.

Trading a 2nd round pick (#32) for Chase Claypool.
