Well, I'll say the usual, CS2, TF2, and L4D2.. with a combined total playtime this year of 60 hours.. (most on TF2)

Because.. I've been playing this game.. called Wuthering Waves., it doesn't have any hours, only days, but if I had to guess.. around 1200 hours. It's a gacha game. Like Genshin Impact so... yeah, I'm a F2P though, and I've been enjoying it (with a few exceptions)

Aside from that, Honkai Star Rail is second.. with probably around the same hours.. another gacha game. Then Zenless Zone Zero, as another commenter mentioned. Another gacha game.

In my phone, I guess I play Clash of Clans and Pokemon Go occasionally.

StreetComplete and Eternity (for Lemmy)

Both great apps I cherish and use.

Quillnote

I literally rely on this for every note / writing books I do

Gosh, almost all of it's NSFW.. Here's a preview of one (I got it from a repost in an ai chatbot website, so idk original source) but it said that it's from Kurenaiz / Kurenaiz1

Oh, yeah. I guess that mindset of lurking even if it costs little to reply and share your thoughts is what got me scared of posting / commenting.

Maybe I was just afraid of people more back then, haha.

Ah, interesting. I don't even post most of the time anyway, or comment, especially on Reddit (don't want to give that website more traffic than I already do).

I guess I don't have as much appreciation in how chill it is here, compared to reddit. Yeah, the smaller community makes connections here more interesting, and manageable too, as it doesn't blow up to like an entire community worth if you share a bad take since.. barely anyone's here anyway haha~

I guess it's just one of those symptoms of reddit that was alleviated in lemmy..

Oh cool, yeah.. It's unavoidable to not use Reddit for anything these days anyway.. With how lemmy posts are still buried (either lemmy issue or search engine.. idk anymore).

As for the whole, thoughts.. I have an entire website and note/blog that is pretty much that, and I rarely share it since it's pretty much me in text form.. And yeah! Posting and commenting really interrupt a lot of things.. like rn.. I'm supposed to be doing something else, but I'm replying 'cause I found your comment interesting.

I haven't even taken a second to look at r/PH but from you and the other user, there seems to be the usual echo chamber that is the usual problem in reddit subreddits.. And the usual PH fb comment brainrot haha..

I'm happy for you though, It's nice knowing people live lives outside of these online spaces haha..

I can attest to that.. I don't even use reddit / twitter that much so I can say I've moved to Lemmy/Mastodon, and if I continue lurking.. Well, I guess little would change, since I did try to at least participate but you can't really fault anyone there.

About the data thing.. Free data is important, huh? I've never considered that before since usually people always have some sliver of load... Facebook is just too embedded too as you said, I myself started on Facebook. Reddit and Twitter are less.. Yeah, I wasn't there when old reddit and twitter.. youtube lurker back then..

Basically.. yeah. I agree. The only way to permanently switch someone (like my other friends from Twitter to Bluesky) is if it's truly that bad and people mildly aware are doing that (at least.. younger people, IDK about older lol)

Oh, good insight. I guess I'm still getting used to the whole niche crowd I've put myself in. (Like Linux, FLOSS space, etc.)

I guess it is reasonable that people like me don't out themselves much considering what I've been doing.. Yeah, I think throughout the whole journey I've been in and throughout the 'alt-media' space (Mainly Lemmy and Mastodon/Bluesky). It's always been more niche communities that have moved..

Oh, and I was also part of that 'commenter' crowd before decentrabel retired so I didn't really expect that it would die out (though to be fair.. I did unexpectedly quit around the last months due to personal reasons)

Yeah, I guess there's just gotta be people interested and willing to post and comment to spread on the already non-mainstream crowd of lemmy users..

May question ako, after the whole abandoning of this community.. Is there any hope for any move outside of the main social medias?

Intro

I've thought about this, since I've been exploring Mastodon, Bluesky vs Twitter/X.. Nostr. Any move outside of the main three, Facebook, Twitter/X, and Reddit.. fizzles out like this one. While there still remains somewhat of a community, such as the more popular communities in this fediverse.. I wonder what's the hope of switching away from the dominant socmeds if there is no homegrown movement here. I mean, look at me, I very rarely post, and look at Lemmy since any important info is almost always in reddit due to search..

Reflection

Don't get me wrong.. We all have lives outside of social media, (~~especially me~~), it's just.. very hard to come back and look at the multiple of dead communities, knowing you don't really have much to contribute. Like look at the many news posts, and random discussions.. Somebody has to take charge, and it's not going to be me.. I have so many things to do. My point is, there is low hope for any alt socmeds to reliably grow, if either the people that moved just.. move on from being chronically online or go back (to the big three), due to a multitude of reasons.

Conclusion

I think I'm just exhausted with my life, and that has permeated with my internet usage too. There's too many negative videos/posts that I have viewed, but there is much regret and procrastination outside. In conclusion..? I rambled for three paragraphs about Lemmy and the Fediverse, The Big Tech Social Medias, and the Philippines / Internet Culture..

Hope ya got something out of it!

The new single just dropped, same time as the LoL premiere (i think?)

I'm at Builder Hall 6 in this account...

I've just been playing some raids in my CoC clans and wondered what the community thought?

So here's how to calculate it:

220 - days from start to current day of duolingo streak

167 - duolingo streak on the website / app

220 - 167 = 53

53 is how many days i have frozen my duolingo streak...

How about yours? I am curious
