I need more details, dude. If I hung out with them for a year, would a new me appear or would we all grow older together? In the case of the latter, would a new 1 year old me appear when the previous 1 year old me turned 2? These are important considerations!

In not a lawyer, but I think the recordings are what is owned by the label. As long as she wrote the song, she can re-record and release the new recordings.

I think its gonna have to be voluntary, bud. As Lemmy gets more users and communities start forming, people will start moderating on their own accord. If you see something serious, like ad spamming, hate speech or CP, it might be worth reporting it to the home servers admins.
There was also the Arab spring that same year where those governments cut access to communication.
What governments are and are not authoritarian is honestly a matter of perspective. No government should disrupt or intercept private communication between law abiding citizens without reasonable suspicion that there is imminent danger to human life.

If you want to reduce lag, join an instance other than lemmy.world. its a fine instance, but probably over loaded. You can see and interact with pretty much all Lemmy content from any instance. I think kbin will be better, but needs an app.
