The gammon types do know that their faces will get eaten, the important thing to them is that the people they hate will have their faces eaten even more. That's what happens when your life revolves around hating others.

I'm Indian and among my parents' generation, there is a lot of colourism. White skin is the ideal. They look down on darker skinned people even within our own ethnicity (I was never called pretty, unlike my lighter skinned sisters, because I got the dark genes). That's a whole other discussion though.

They fall for right wing propaganda easily, like anti-EU immigration, antivaxx, etc. My parents used to watch GB News and talktv unironically.

Here in the UK, sadly I can name two prominent ethnically Indian MAGA-type MPs: Suella Braverman and Priti Patel. Both nasty pieces of work.

Dairy cows are slaughtered for meat once they're no longer productive enough anyway, aren't they? Either way they're going to die.

You didn't think they got to retire in a nice meadow, did you?

This reminds me of a poll around the time of the Brexit vote. They polled Tory voters (I think) with various Brexit scenarios, eg would you still support Brexit if it made your life worse, made your grandkids' lives worse, etc etc. They all came out for majority would still support it... With one exception. They wouldn't support it if it meant Jeremy Corbyn (leftist leader of the opposition at the time, although he was also a brexiteer) becoming prime minister.

I wish I could find that poll. If only so I can check I'm remembering it correctly.

Sometime last year it was so windy that I was actually getting pushed into traffic and had to wheel my bike home.

Why not both?

I rather stupidly did 12km yesterday after no riding for 6 months and I am so unfit now. I've never stayed in third gear for so long.

I thought it was more Sheev was trump and Darth Jar Jar was more like musk pulling the strings.

Darth Jar Jar has more class than either of those two creatures.

Badenoch was born Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke at a private hospital in Wimbledon in 1980. Her mother travelled to the UK to give birth which gave Badenoch automatic British citizenship, a policy which was abolished the following year. Soon after the birth, mother, father and daughter returned to Lagos, Nigeria, where the family was based.

She can go eff herself.

Has anyone told FlyingSquid about the Greenland Appreciation Act 1997? It's only a matter of time before he gets stopped and asked to produce his homemade mini Greenland flag. It'd be a shame if he had to leave because he didn't know about the law.

That's definitely me! I also went through the "oh no I just realised I never make eye contact" phase for a few years, and overcompensated by staring, which took so much energy that I couldn't take in anything the other person said.
