Have never been but looking to be convinced to go hehe, is it nice for people who are into boardgames but not necessarily pros? Like, is it approachable and not intimidating?

Edit: thanks for the responses, me and my partner are definitely going! Gonna be a blast I’m sure!!

I had the same experience with the steam game honestly haha, but yea if you stumble across it on sale or get a chance to try it I can recommend it

“Dorfromantik” is quite calm and enjoyable as a co-op boardgame. I previously only played it as a video game, but honestly it’s more fun as a boardgame. It’s a bit similar in feel to a co-op version of carcassonne, you place tiles and the board keeps getting bigger the more tiles you place. The pictures on the tiles decide how you get points based on how you place them

Same here, It’s a good thing I think, but it sometimes make me feel a bit out of the loop

Age of Empires 2 is still going, stronger than ever! Must easily be the most successful 90s game still alive

Avatar Rising. Fun game, more difficult than I’d thought (we were three players). And they really nailed the heroes/villains abilities for the lore of the game

Huh, that’s sad

Wholeheartedly agree! That was a superfun place

Really hope people leave it to a great extent. Reddit doesn’t deserve the users if they lie like they do, and while reddit was easy and fun, a federated way of communicating seems more robust

It’s a bit difficult getting into Lemmy and the feediverse I gotta say. But after looking around for a while I really like how things work here, compared to reddit
