I think we know the reason, my friend.
I don't hate on the developers, I hate on the companies that so severely understaff and burn out their teams that no one is doing proper testing anymore.
I did actually read the article shortly after commenting, but had good reason to believe they would be talking about infants anyway as I've some knowledge on the topic. However, the article isn't very clear that it's the parents making the decision on behalf of their infant, and reads a bit like the doctors are going ahead and mutilating babies without anyone's consent. Not that I find it's any better that parents are consenting on behalf of their children for non-medically necessary surgery.
I'm assuming this refers to surgery on infants, in which case it's the parents who consent, not the child.
Yep, improving Paris' air quality has been a major focus for her for a long while. A huge number of roads have been replaced by cycle paths/public transport only, the speed limit throughout most of the city has been reduced from 50km/h to 30km/h, street parking spots have been reduced drastically, and certain older cars can't are limited. It's going to improve further given the périphérique speed has also been reduced (major traffic artery around the city), and the centre arrondissements are now being restricted for vehicles. Vehicle drivers are not too happy, but it does make a big difference for quality of life when you live and work in the city.
I recommend getting a heated blanket, then taking up residence under said blanket for the rest of winter.
@[email protected] is singlehandedly keeping this place alive so I thought I'd also participate and share a photo I took last month. This is a burrowing owl I photographed on the grounds of a hotel in Brasilia. A couple of these guys made their burrow in a little ~~hole~~ hill at the bottom of the garden and were seemingly unbothered by hotel guests that were walking past. I have a couple of other shots but this is my favourite. Thanks for all your superb owl posts anon6789!
Except XX male syndrome is a thing, where externally individuals present male but have female karyotype. So are those people female despite having functional male genitalia? And that's only one of a myriad of situations where an individual's chromosomes don't reflect what their phenotype is like nor their biological reproductive function. Chromosomes are NOT an infallible indicator of biological sex.
Also the text of the law says nothing about chromosomes. It indicates from conception the cells that produce the large gamete are considered female, and cells that produce the small gamete are considered male. No one is producing gametes at conception. It also completely disregards anyone who produces no gametes at all. At best this law has declared everyone to have no biological sex whatsoever.
