Why single out Bernie Sanders then? Aren't there a million people that have access to even more "luxurious" things that a majority can't afford?

What's so special about him?

Yup, I've tested windows->steam deck so far. No reason to believe it won't work the other way around (paths seem to be compatible at least).

The 100$ is very much a premium tier with nice to have features. The ad free version is around 20$, which is still steep but you're paying for lifetime ads.

I'm not familiar with this one, but I guess we're more biased towards processing stimuli as 3D over 2D, as we live in a 3D environment?

I mean, anytime I stop focusing on the discs, I default to the embossed squares. But maybe this is different for others?

I'm fully for supporting ljdawson and this app - the former version of which I've also purchased.

So, I was really surprised when I saw that the gdpr consent form had some of the worst dark patterns with the opt-out "legitimate interest" for each party.

The first time I was so excited to have sync again, that I just confirmed selection. Stupid of me. Second time, I spent minutes opting out of each individual party's "legitimate interest" - after giving consent.

No idea what this means or if ljdawson knew (he's the dev though), but this really soured my experience.

I think I'll still purchase, but this sucks.

Edit: I've since purchased the ad-free version. I want to give ljdawson the benefit of the doubt and maybe also chalk this up to the beta state. I just quite dislike dark patterns.

Your username is made on instances. So yeah, you can't just switch. However you could just recreate the username on a different instance though.

I mean, seeing as this is not yet a reality.. Have you looked into lucid dreaming?

It's a dystopian extension of what it could be if society continued on a bad path. In truth I'd absolutely hope that there would be better options at that point, because society is better. Right now, drugs are simpler and maybe even saner than engaging with reality fully.

Well, in a world that has technology this advanced, you could maybe make your body do actual work in the real world (controlled by your employer) but you would still experience the virtual world as op has explained.

Sounds like a black mirror outline. I shiver at the idea.

Negatives: real world stagnation.

But maybe that's a positive actually.

I can see the line of reasoning and honestly I would probably be an early adopter.

I've had a weird system-wide stutter for months and the usual googling and troubleshooting didn't help.. omg. This might be it. Thank you Linus and thank you op.
