Couldn’t they charge a subscription? Or sell credits?

Genuine question.

You can install 3rd party keyboards on iOS too to be fair. GIF keyboards etc.

Old article but still relevant: https://www.macobserver.com/tips/how-to/ios-11-install-third-party-keyboards-on-iphone/

I don’t know if the iOS walled garden has any further security measures over Android.

Too right.

Every now and then I check Voyagers progress, hoping to see full page gestures appear.

Please bring this back. I’m a lurker on Lemmy, as I was on Reddit, 99.4% of my interactions are “go into topic” and “go back to feed”.

I’ve searched high and low to replicate my Apollo browsing habits, and at the moment Liftoff! is the only app I’ve found that lets me full-post-swipe-back.

Hopefully with the latest gesture customization implementation, it can be added.

If you don’t trust Vice, there’s a tweet in that article from an official Twitter account saying they will censor tweets.

Sounds like there are some good alternatives out there based on the other replies to your question.

I guess I couldn’t go past the nostalgia.

I recently bought mIRC for this purpose after 30 years of borrowing it. Felt like I needed to being a relevant piece of software after all this time.

Narwhal is a Reddit browsing app that will adapt to the new pricing structure by making its users pay for the app. The subscription will cost between $4 and $7, its developer said.

A job listing is filled out with the correct title, but when you try save it as a draft it says you have to fill out the job description. Type in some blah-de-blah text, maybe a joke for the person that is meant to fill it out. Save it as draft.

Boss comes along and asks the administrator "Can you post that Environmental Officer job?", the administrator finds the job listing via the title, and may only see a snippet of the description, or doesn't read it at all, publishes it.

It's a documented problem that using semi-real looking filler text, like Lorem Ipsum, is a bad idea. It often gets accidentally published. It would have been better just to put in a couple of paragraphs of "XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" or something.

This is most likely not the exact steps that happened, but is a theory on how it can. Or they got hacked or a disgruntled employee.

Thank you for that!

But yeah, that’s not true to Apollo’s full post swipe back option. I have to put my phone down to reach over to the left edge in Voyager.

I upvote comments a few times per year, but need to get back to the feed multiple times per session.

Hopefully gesture options come out in the future.

Swipe where? Mine just brings up comment upvote if I’m on the comments, I can’t swipe back on the post either, what am I missing?

Voyager doesn’t have full screen gestures yet (swiping to get back to feed), so I’ve been looking around.

Liftoff! has so far best matched my Apollo style lurk browsing habits. Although the feed is a little more busy looking.
