First mistake was using a microsoft device.

I don't appify any web based app on Linux. Apps are for mobile. I use my Linux computers with fully fledged programs, including my web browser program.
I'd ditch Mull, and go IronFox. It's a fork of Mull that is actively maintained.
Thank you for sharing. I have switched back unfortunately.
I don't know what a "fossbro" is. Me questioning it has nothing to do with a word being "gendered" as you say. It could be "fossthey" "fosssis" or whatever variation, I don't care. And I don't believe the person who used the term "fossbro" was talking about gender either. "Bro" is used as a genderless word often times similarly to "dude" or even in some cases "man." Why you trolling? And bad at it at that.
Please define "fossbro" I have never heard anyone use that before
It's a driver issue.

A quick search will tell you that.
The issues you're having are due to you not looking into manuals, or guides, or documentation.
Mint is usable put of the box.
The old addage: RTFM
Lol
Why do you need SecureBoot?
By not doing proper research. And "everyone" is a stretch. Had I been involves in suggesting a distro I would have asked what hardware they had.
Not saying it can't be done. I know it can. And glad it can. Gives people who locked into buying a M$ product the option. That's part of the beauty of Linux and open source.
I just would never recommend anyone to go buy a surface for the sole purpose of running Linux.
I ran Arch on mine when I had it. And it had its drawbacks. When I bought my next machine, a Lenivo, I had so much better support. It made the whole experience that much better.
I hate Microsoft. And I hope they crumble. Every last bit of them.
