My violin teacher called it practicing without ambition. Every time you practice, you're supposed to criticize yourself and constantly compare yourself to better players so that you can strive to master a specific part of playing. In a healthy way, of course. Otherwise, you can "practice" for fifty years and still never learn anything.

So the guy in the pic is just a homophobic bigot? Or homophobic but also sexist, on account of the female characters looking as worn as the male characters? I'm too old to understand what woke means, but the guy's post is also confusing to read.

Lemmy isn't very different from reddit. When people can't reply with proper reason, they just go through your profile to downvote everything. Be assured I am no bigot, I was only sharing my own experience in my religion, which was not great.
