I read way too much of this before realizing it's not real... so insane that this can even seem 100% real at all. I had no reason not to believe it. What a time to be alive.

That was fun.

That would be bad news for the frogs.

I learned this the hard way as well... I did a big OS update on mine once and it broke almost every application running on it. Docker worked perfectly still. I transferred everything I could to Docker after that.

So Jan 6th actual violence occurs and people die, but that's ok, and everyone no longer has to pay for that. These are threats, but nothing happened. Will they get larger sentences than those people who actually committed violent crimes? My guess is yes, and that's the only part about this that's going to be messed up.

Oh, I love them like that! Full of flavor and falling apart mixed in with onions.

My favorite comfort food pot roast. Let it cook all day yesterday on low heat. Reminds me of my childhood, of course it's never as good.

This is super weird. I heard this just last week on the radio. I love Yo La Tengo but I guess I missed this one. I knew it was them as soon as it came on. Great cover.

I thought about this and imo I give them a pass. It's just the successor to the switch, it is just called the switch 2. Why would we expect it to offer or be anything different than what it already is? Honestly, I wonder how much time they spent trying to decide if they should even go the new console route or just call it a pro edition.

I think the next console release will tell a lot more regarding this. More than ever, the next console releases will really need to bring something new to the table since, at this point, there's very little difference between getting a nice PC or a console outside exclusives. I think those lines will continue to blur so consoles absolutely need to start evolving into something more or possibly lose more people to PC rigs.

I would say the GameCube was new and different for them because they transitioned from cartridge to disc, and of course, they had to use the mini disc to be extra different from the rest.

RIP Ratebeer (beerconnoisseur.com)

I'm sure many here haven't dealt with Ratebeer, but it was the OG site to use along with beer advocate back in the late 2000's. A few of my friends were hooked, and it got me onboard. We joined local communities, met up with others for local beer events, and setup tastings with everyone. Made a lot of good friends and tried the best beers in the world because of the site and although I drifted from the hobby well over a decade now it still was a big influence for me and even the modern equivalents that exist today. Just wanted to put this here since it was definitely a part of beer history that should be remembered.

Disgusting... and I speak for all the "donations," not just this one. Feels more like mafia rules at this point.

Thank you! I use Quad9 and have noticed these links stopped working about a week or 2 ago. The problem was I redid my network at that time and kept thinking it was something on my end. I have a firewall with recursive DNS setup and I was able to add my own entry for it, but I'm guessing the IP changes because it only lasted a few days. Now that I know why I'll see what else I can do since I do enjoy Quad9 otherwise.

Just a quick question since I am not sure if I am thinking about this correctly. I have 1 2.5gb port on my new router and the rest are 1gb. I wanted to buy a switch that leveraged the 2.5gb port but the devices plugged into it will be 1gb which will work since it's backwards compatible. My question is will this allow for a higher maximum throughput since the uplink is at 2.5gb allowing for me to max out the 1gb connections on the switch? Or is that not how it will work and I will see no difference between a 1gb switch plugged into a 1gb uplink?
