Federation model works, since people can make their own instance where they set the rules or join an instance that is federated with the instances they want. Like kbin.social I think is federated with lemmygrad and bunch of other places.

I think people are just having trouble getting used to the idea of not needing one central site to deliver everything they want. Don't forget. These aren't corporate run websites running with the goal of monetization, but user run and cost them real world money that they are opening up to users to use for free.

There is some degree of entitlement that isn't necessary to begin with, since if people are that upset they can make their own or join a more networked fediverse instance.

Ads I get, but the admob with the "unique device identifiers" is not something I like. That means even people who are willing to pay for a subscription will be exposed to them when they first open the app to purchase the subscription.

I've gone so long without ads I am unaware of the concept of being fine with ads. It's too unfamiliar an experience now.

How? Aren't they the ones in charge? American audiences have as much influence on the product they chose to deliver as Americans did for Dark. Great show by the way.

Thanks for the recommendation. Seems like a good powered one.

That means any hub you wanna get is probably fine.

Seen reviews for some where interference occurred. Like this hub for instance doesn't seem good despite reviews for wireless use based on keyword search https://www.amazon.com/uni-Aluminum-Adapter-Ultra-Slim-Compatible/dp/B08M3ZY8SZ

Seems to be when there isn't proper shielding for usb 3.0 which is why I asked for recommendations, since would prefer to be able to stick in the 2.4 ghz dongles without needing an additional extension to the hub.

https://www.rshtech.com/blog/how-to-avoid-the-usb30-and-24-ghz-devices-interference-2

Was why I was wondering if people had specific recommendations for products that worked for them, since some reviews have mentioned in comments that it gave them issues with their wireless peripherals, so instead of just picking some random one was just asking community for ones that had worked for them.

Did get some suggestions of actual used products here, so will check those out.

Yeah, people are aware now so can make decisions on their own and decide their own risk tolerance.

One thing I find funny though is how people think I don't care if X country has my info it's my home country Y I'm more worried about. But, their country Y is probably hacking country X and retrieving all their info from there with possibly less red flags to get through. So it really comes down to what people choose to share and use than a certain countries publicized spying policies.

Tip I have is to adjust the angles to one that makes it feel most consistent to you for the up and down gestures. You can also set up long swipes too for where if you swipe a little further until you feel a haptics you can have it do stuff like make it show a mini quick tools so you don't have to reach up and pull the status bar down to access them.

It's pretty useful and you can have it behave differently for the left and right side so have lot of different actions available.

Aware of it. I'm just seeking usb dongle recommendations people have had success with, since there are varying qualities where I've seen in some reviews people have issues with wireless peripherals while other models didn't. The one in my monitor has been reliable, but I need more ports.

If plugging in directly causes interference, but using your monitors USB hub doesn’t that’s contradictory to your theory of hubs introducing lag,

I never said my usb hub was introducing lag. Nomenclature may be incorrect, but it's just some words people have used to basically say interference. I was asking for recommendations on usb dongles people use that have been reliable, since some product reviews have shown issues with wireless peripherals.

I don't know if this is relevant, but might explain why not all usb hubs will be problem free.

Try one hand operation + in good lock. Currently my favorite gesture system, since I don't even have to reach down and can activate multiple actions from the side.

It would help if there was unique animations each time, but it's the same exact movement that makes it get tiresome.
