Sure, but when smartglasses become ubiquitous, it's much easier for bad actors to blend in and reduces the "barriers to entry". Furthermore, it makes it much easier for bad corporate actors to abuse this functionality.
I know, but almost all AR offerings include cameras that are capable of the same thing.
This creepiness is one reason why I'm sticking with the XReal Air 1. No cameras.

It's annoying, I agree. But it hasn't stopped the Quest headset from doing well. The Orion glasses aren't for sale though, so it's a moot point.

Snap OS has an interesting interface where the palm of your hand brings up a menu. I don’t think it’s the most user-friendly approach though.
I'm working on a way to control them without a brain interface and also without the clunky methods being used today (gestures, peripherals, tapping the side of the glasses, etc.) Wish me well!
