No, yes but no. I mean, and even said, name brand items like blenders with slightly smaller or cheaper bowls, lower quality metal, name brand clothes at Costco are similar to Ross in that they are made saying it the same product but are cheaper stitching and material.

I know what generic products are I am speaking towards the ones they offer as premium at a discount are discounted because of less premium parts from the brand name.

Why would I be against generics?

Edit as a further example because I guess I wasn't understood. Q-tip brand q-tips have been called out for their Costco ones being flimsier or having less spun cotton on the tips than their products at other stores. Because it helps profit them a little more money when it's sold at a lower price. Quality is not consistent because of its market share.

Did you get handed a list of words you are just supposed to use without definitions? It's like the cargo cult of inflammatory comments. A simulacrum of a response.

In other word.
Lame.

Yeah, Costco is a a store for the upper middle class suburban family type. That was basically always their bread and butter as those are people with the space and need for constant shopping that can be sold some faux premium items alongside some real ones as a one stop solution.

Did you know brands will make specific Costco versions that are meant to mimic the expected item but be slightly modified to use cheaper parts or less material.
Edit for clarity: q-tips with less tip, Vitamix sold as same model but less parts or features, Lucky brand jeans using cheaper material, name brand sponges being thinner, name brand pads being less absorbent, all sold with the same name and branding as their non bulk counterpart but using less material to make them often inferior for price to value.

There are so few things that are better or cheaper to buy in the bulk at Costco to get your money's worth of the yearly fee and that is the point. They make a profit.
It just doesn't make much sense to shop at Costco if you are actually on a budget or don't have the space.

Fetterman on you

Oof... But haven't you heard? He's free of having to listen to any criticism now because something something leftists, something something never was.
Ugh I can't believe he went all Fetterman on us.

Not one person in this world is rational or sane. It would take a sane world to create a sane person and we just can't help but pass on our issues even at our best attempts.

When people are acting foolish and know it at least they know. That means they can recognize it and change if they currently aren't. It's when they don't recognize it at all that we must be wary of their intentions.

As if no drag queen has never once loudly shouted

How about I loudly announce whatever the fuck I want.

There are lots of people out there with all kinds of takes. Don't just assume what you want to be true. (Even if it might be)

I made a comment recently going through the list of the campaign advisors for Harris which included;
mostly C-suite executives, advisors for the richest peoples trust funds and literally a representative from New Orleans who had to step down after it was discovered he was the top recipient for bribes from the oil industry but is still apparently a great choice for directly advising the DNC.

It's not just one person it's the whole of the DNC that's like this. They bow to decorum while underhandedly stuffing their pockets with cash just like the Republicans. They just want it to look professional while they do it.

They need to give a shit about others and the average citizen not just see this as their rightful place to make money because they deserve it for being better connected. That's why we are in this mess.

We are deeply past anyone currently in charge of the franchise understanding it and now they are just pushing all the generic buttons for scifi movies hoping to get a mass audience appeal blockbuster.

It's a travesty full of lens flairs and absolutely horrible anti-human dialogue. Not non-human as that would imply the filmmakers realized there are supposed to be interesting aliens in Star Trek, anti, cause it makes you less human if you try to think about it.

For Shyamalan not only does he land another A-lister to lead his family as so many are always looking to work with him, this also marks the first time he will collaborate with a high-profile writer on an idea, something to surely excite fans of the master storyteller.

Holy moly did Shyamalan write this himself? Is that the twist?

The amount of people who are all giving "reasons" why they are gonna be ok to treat others with contempt and apathy towards any suffering just means you wanted an excuse to not care all along, not that you are morally superior.

You will still look like an asshole to anyone that isn't informed and to the people who didn't agree with you in the first place.

If you actually care you keep trying, stop pretending minute crusades are anything but.

I mean seriously. What the heck is this?

None of the boxes I clicked on helped and it just kept making more dancing hippos appear each time.

These have to be the least accurate things I have ever seen.

The rectangular one is accurate or accurate enough and has been what I used but I noticed files all had cutouts for these round hygrometers...

Well from my 6 pack 1 is within a margin of error to even be useful.

I get they aren't expensive but seems like a waste of money for this bad.

Which is to say, not very far on this at all but I think I have a good idea on how have my cake and eat it too for desiccant for my spools.

I am finding I can't get the humidity below about 50% in my AMS and the silica I am using needs constant refreshing.

Well it seems there is stuff called activated alumina that is pretty good and honestly about the same costs as silica beads, but I need to be able to put it in the oven to refresh it. Which doesn't work well with my 3d printed desiccant holders.

Insert, cheap tea strainers.
It seems I can get ones that are 4cm in width by 6cm in height that are made out of stainless steel that I can actually put straight in the oven.

So, I am working on getting the parts and items but was wondering if anyone else has done this or have any suggestions before I start grabbing stuff?

So, I'm trying to print some older models from thingiverse and I have discovered that basically all the files I want to print have glaring flaws in them.

Internal free floating structures, connector pieces and holes that are the exact same size... So on and so forth...

Do I need to learn a software like CAD or Blender to fix these? I seem to be able to do some basic stuff in Orca Slicer but it honestly seems like as much of a pain to modify the parts there as it would be to use a real software.

Is there one that's easier? I think I messed around with SketchUp once upon a time.

I am worried this feels like opening a can of worms just so that I can make a thing that already exists in a dozen forms better.

Kamala Harris was seen by many as simply continuity Joe Biden, a president who has long had a negative approval rating. When asked last month what she would have done differently from Biden, Harris answered: “There is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of – and I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact.”

There was no clear vision, no shared rage with the American people at the state of the country: if there was anything deeply wrong with the US, her campaign seemed to suggest, it was the existence of the Trumpist movement, and voting for Harris could finally turn the page on that.

The part that the Democrats missed again and again is that the issue with America is not just that people were and are willing to vote for Trump. It was never gonna be over just because he wasn't elected. Despite that being the message from large amounts of DNC leaders and commentators.

We can blame voters all we want but at millions of people that becomes a concept more than a specific person or group to blame. There are problems that need to be solved with more than status quo and centrism. And it doesn't start and end with Trump.

I hope we remember that as we see more of him than ever.

Truly a pretty terrible place for any kind of social activity.

People here are super self righteous and unwavering in their beliefs, quick to insult others and be generally bitchy, pedantic and quick to dogpile. Worst of all while still usually slightly wrong about a thing, but unwilling to hear it.

It's basically the worst parts of reddit users where we have boiled it down to the most affluent or socially insecure.

Even if it's as simple as a question people jump to defend their position with insults rather than answer it cause they get worried the person might be confused and it's best to just make sure it's a closed community as quick as possible.

This isn't an open community it's a private gated one where everyone jumped the fence and is scared that the wrong person might have come in with them.

Condescending is not welcoming.
Upvoting cause they are your in group isn't community.
Berating outcasts cause you at least don't feel like them is still bullying.

Man, what else have I missed?

As far as I can tell they are over 9 feet tall... What the hell did they bury in their front yard?!

Yeah... This is half a packet of seeds and they are literally hopping from the fence to tree branches literally a couple feet away.

I swear it said it was a bush type too and this is more forest.
