Ummm, hey outside observer here. I saw a lot of dem leaning media during all this. Their was clearly ether little or ineffectual censorship in the left/right balance in media.
Case in point why would these results be so shocking if the media coverage was all against the Dems?
Its weird that the same group of people are ignoring women's ability of independent thoughts and actions are the same ones saying (not unreasonably) the other side is dehumanizing women.
So far second highest recorded turn out and it will be weeks for the final number. Keep in mind spoiled ballots will get added at some point (to the turnout count not to actually count)
I have tried midjourney before. The results where..... Underwhelming. Lots of odd artifacting, slow creation time and yes it had some issues with sailormoon.
I might try again, as it has been a while. It would be nice to have more control.
Oh I also tried local generation (forgot the name) and wooooow is my local PC bad at pictures (clearly can't be my lack of ability it setting it up).
But it will come in a different container. Maybe a box instead of the wrapper.

Its a shit situation all around in this case. People are angry, and not without reason. I do hope that we can learn from it and earn a better place in the world, but I am also a pessimist so I too will get angry and likely not be helpful.
My dood, it is a two party system. There was never really a choice (like you said a VERY easy one). You got to ether vote for the ruling party or a fascist. I don't think anyone needed to be very informed. Local elections? oh research the hell out of those, at the national level? in the states? There was never really an option. Just at this point people picked the non option.
No US voter had the "ultimate" power to change anything, just two things to pick between. In this case they picked to tear it all down in a weird fascist way.
Jokes on you, most of the harm will come to them second hand (cost of living, wages, lack of supports) and will be blamed on (insert literally anything here).
And for a lot of the Trump supporters (I think the view called them uneducated or poor) Life will not really change, It will just continue to suck but with "their" guy in charge.
So far it looks like that is not true. Just look at some of the swing state exit polls. Or hell that little town of 6 people that always announces first, 2020 all 6 voted Dems and this time it was 3 and 3.
