The idea of him potentially doing jail time for this is a bit silly but I'm definitely not opposed to the unpaid work/community service part of the punishment.

It's often been seen as the traditional path from the PL to Turkey too, either struggling or aging players joining one of the bigger teams (with CL football) for a slower but still competitive league with very passionate fans.

Not many highly rated PL players in their prime head to Turkey and it was often seen as a good place for clubs to offload their deadwood to.

People seem to be forgetting how well he had Brighton playing prior to joining Chelsea, which is a tough assignment for any manager.
