You can do it right now if you go to the community page sidebar (where you would normally subscribe) but hit "block" instead. But this isn't ideal, I would prefer something closer to what you're asking for which is more of just a way to hide the posts from showing up in the main feed without going as far as blocking them.

Except that your downvotes are public and then you'll just be accused of being a Nazi.

Update from Zyloh, ToW isn't officially dead:

Same, I'm sure we'll find additional edge cases but it looks like they're working hard to account for many of those.

Nice! Ship trespassing mechanics are in.

They removed the ability to get a "Channel joined notification" if an uninvited person trespasses on your ship.

The ship owner (and any party members) will be able to legally engage/kill the trespasser.

If you remove someone from your party while they're on the ship, they won't be considered as trespassing unless they injure anyone else on the ship (or leave and come back).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but once an instance has been defederated with another, you will not be able to see posts from users associated with that instance, even if they post into a community that you are federated with.

Hahah this is awesome! Although it looks like Reddit already rolled back the mod positions.

CIG is already aware of this, looks like someone is actively looking into it.

We just need to bring Vine back, or a Fediverse version of it.

Thanks for pointing out that there may be more to this, I dug into it a bit more. A few users reported that their comments/posts were being restored:

@[email protected] https://lemmy.ml/post/1290893

@[email protected] https://lemmy.ml/comment/690447

It looks like it could be related to issues with Powerdelete, or else issues with being able to delete comments while a sub is/was set to private. https://kbin.social/m/RedditMigration/t/34112/Updated-Reddit-is-quietly-restoring-deleted-AND-overwritten-posts-and

However, there is also a user that reported that their manually deleted posts came back @[email protected] https://mstdn.social/@sukarn/110553511800817413 Which could be related to Reddit performing maintenance on the servers.

Either way it's probably worth it to hold onto your account for a while longer to verify that there weren't any issues with your posts/comments being deleted.

Personally I prefer soymilk and almond milk for cereal, but I'll stick to regular milk products for most sauces/cooking.

You can actually see how detectable you are if you go into your Game Settings, scroll all the way to the bottom, and enable "Emissions HUD - Display Signature Values"

It doesn't tell you the exact distance you're detectable from (since this can depend on the sensors/sensitivity of the ship trying to detect you). But you should be able to tell if it makes a difference or not.

I wouldn't delete your account (in case Reddit tries to replace the deleted comments as they have been doing). But I would unsubscribe from every subreddit.

Additionally, if you have any very useful comments/posts, repost them to Lemmy and then edit them to leave some information that will redirect users to your posts in Lemmy. That way good information isn't lost and you'll help to slowly drive users towards Lemmy over time.

Tickets go on sale the 28th, 29th, and 30th in waves.

Based on previous years tickets I would expect something close to $100+ for the general tickets, and up to $200 for the premium tickets. Maybe more since this is a 2 day event now?

Edit: updated date

Edit: not a livestream, just a short video ad for Alien Week. Alien ships are now for sale on the pledge store.

Could be a good sign. If the Current PTU is stable enough that we haven't seen any hotfixes, we may be in for an update to the Live servers soon.

No new PTU build today.

Servers will be updated as they 30k and shutdown. To know if you join a server with the fix, check the server version with: r_displayinfo 2
Hotfixed servers will appear as 8478820-8520604

Edit - Info comes from the MOTD:

(Tysdagr) We are not expecting a new PTU publish today. We are rolling out a client and server hotfix onto the LIVE environment to address unusable/black screen ASOP issues! This is a 2 part hotfix which requires both pieces to fix. You will see a small client update shortly but the LIVE servers will be gracefully hotfixed over time as old servers crash out and new servers spin up so it may take a while for all servers to get it. (server hotfix 8478820-8520604)

Message of the day from Waka:
(Frjádagr) We are intending on releasing a new 3.19.1 PTU build later today with updated asop technical flow that should resolve a handful of issues including black screens and locked terminals!
We also just ran another fix in the backend that should hopefully resolve the majority of the remaining players who are getting 30009 errors in LIVE on launch. You may need to do a character repair to see this function! We still think there are a few cases this didn't resolve the issue and are looking into it but hopefully this helps quite a bunch!
(Waka's Day) A New 3.19.1 PTU is now available for All Backers to test! https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/190048/thread/star-citizen-alpha-3-19-1-ptu-8503251-patch-notes | https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/190049/thread/volunteer-regression-3-19-1-ptu-8503251
