Other than these fine books I can really recommend "How Westminster Works and Why it doesn't" by Ian Dunt. It's an audio book on Spotify so super easy to digest.
Our politics is a broken joke and Dunt's book really drills into the reasons.

The fact is that local residents have repeatedly said they want the traffic calming measures to stay and Rahman who claims to be a "listening mayor" is doing the complete opposite.
