How would you best set up & take advantage of having a low use Optiplex 790 set up remotely at a family members, on 24/7 with fibre. (alien.top)
 

Optiplex 790 (I7-2600, 500gb ssd boot, 2tb hdd spare) at bros apt, he's non techy windows user.

Plan is install Proxmox, windows 10 vm for bro's daily use, and a Proxmox Backup Server vm for a remote 3rd backup of my 2 PVE's at home. Besides tailscale and ssh, what else would you initially set up for both your own benefit, as well as ease of remote maintenance and control?

Damn, I was legit spinning up a new Ubuntu server VM and thought I'm gonna look up a guide about proper initial config/hardening while it loads up ... You convinced me to give debian a go.
