instances are severs - you now have two servers you need to trust.

The average person has no own server.

all cost more than just making an account on established service. The cost of changing from Twitter to whatever is probably smaller than half a year of selfhosting or aaS.

You can famously do only one thing. As long as there are hard drugs, the government can not do anything about a legally obtainable, but wrongly used material, that is a serious health risk...

to be honest elon using the nazi salute was probably not in the training data or high up on the probability chart.

Have you guys tried banning usage of phones? Like literally just that? Having a phone im your pocket is one thing, but not being allowed to use it except for X is an option. X= a room, a special time or "just to look up school schedule info"

This works...it doesn't have to work 100%, eveb 80% is enough.

RTS always requires micro - it's real time. If micro is not required, strategy is not requires in an RTS.

When the voters don't want to pay the costs, it's not possible to make change.

I question the theory of r&d ->bankruptcy, most don't go under. Xerox not being Microsoft had nothing to do with r&d cost.

r&d is the cost of not falling behind. For smaller company a good work environment and motivated staff is important. The people do offhour research because they like stuff they are doing. They don't do it for the company, but they bring the skills and knowledge back to work.

Yeah, even if the leader has good intentions, his second or third in command might have less good intentions - and the ability to change position.
