I legit laughed when the mods on the Reddit responded with:

“There are literally several hundred Tesla Takedown protests today.”

I’m going to People’s Veto Day! It will be an 8 hour bus ride there. I was worried our bus would be cancelled but we managed to find people to go!

My dad is going with me. I feel kind of guilty about that because he is going mainly because he wants me safe.

I mean yes… but also no. People are protesting, and we definitely are seeing growth. I believe we are on the right track. Even Erica Chenoweth seems to think so. The issue is that we aren’t to the level we need to be yet. Unfortunately, that’s going to take time.

We lack a lack of culture of mass protest. That along with transportation issues, infighting, and with many people in a state of shock. It’s also only been two months. No mass movement in the US has ever formed within that timeframe.

There’s a lot to be optimistic about though. I find it inspiring seeing all these groups organize resources and people for the April 5th protest. It’s a huge undertaking to move that many people there. Seeing the massive organizational effort behind it is inspiring and a good sign for the future.

There are lots. I use Mlem. But there’s also Voyager, Thunder, and others.

The way they worded it, the event like it happened a while ago.

That’s why it’s so important to focus on class struggle. We simply are incapable of uniting against fascism, but we can unite against the rich.

I think the ATProtocol is better when it comes to connecting between different social media types. But I think ActivityPub makes better use of different servers.

Though I think something like Lemmy is difficult for both because of how different it is from most other social media types.

What app do you use to browse Lemmy on mobile?

This doesn’t explain things well. Lemmy is like a bunch of Reddits communicating with each other. The graphic makes it seem like there is just one Lemmy. Also, are Lemmy posts on Mastodon? Mastodon was largely empty last I checked.

Edit: I just now noticed the second Lemmy
