Do any modern desktop environments support a grid layout of virtual desktops? in c/[email protected]

I have shortcuts to move to a desktop dx sx up dw, and i use activities to separate in the third dimension.

I have 2 monitors, and i use a grid 5x4. Activities are used to separate home / work.

I also use bismuth for tiling, so each desktop generally have only one window in it.

I use it with X, I think I will have to rework the stack when i will switch to Wayland.

I don't think It will be useless even if KDE add basic tiling, there are layout and shortcuts that will be useful anyway.
