Problem is that we waited 10 twara and got this. Doesn't even compare to inquisition, feels like a VERY small game and the dialogue, story and combat is nor great. Not to mention there is no crafting and the game is very much clpawd and not open world like. Doesn't even stand close to Inquisition, which I might add won fame of the year without live service.

+1 to this, you don't have to activate. You get an activation watermark at the bottom right hand corner, not a big deal

I'm a huge dragon age fan but I agree this game is not like the others. The gameplay is very dragon age 2 like but its not fluid and feels choppy sometimes.

I'm playing a rogue and when I just want to hit a wooden crate my character jumps up and down and almost falls over edges... The tactical part of fighting in this game is not there, inquisition had it perfectly. I could pause the game, fill up potions, play as my other companions if I died. You can't do any of that.

The dialogue seems very AI like, short conversations and the start of the game is very rough, cant tell if the tone is suppose to be serious or not. Bellara seems to be a quirky funny not so serious character but I can't tell if I'm suppose to be serious or laugh, when the world is falling apart and she is making weird jokes and doesn't seem serious at all.

The writing is bad, combat seems choppy and its more of a hack and slash game rather than having to be mindful of your company ions health, gear and abilities.

There is no crafting at all in the game, there are a set number of weapons that you just keep upgrading by getting points for completing quests.. Its just not that fun, I loved going through quests and wondering what weapon I'll pick up or what schematic I'll pick up. Maybe I'm just an old fart but this game has not been what I hoped for.

I'm hugely disappointed in this game and it really leaves a big sour in my mouth after waiting since 2014 for this game...

Lan mode only, firewall blocking all internet access to it and I'm good to go. Bambu studio connects to it fine and still works with homeassistant as well.

Let me know if you find the 1.03 firmware version as I can't seem to find it anywhere on their site. The latest for the a1 mini is 1.04 and it was released on December 10th.

If you find 1.03 please post it in here! :)

What's the latest firmware version that shittifies these printers? I have an a1 mini with version 1.4

[–] Tinkerer 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Dang thanks for this, I have vlans and use opnsense but I couldn't figure out how to connect to the printer from bambu studio. Ive installed the udpbroadcastrelay plugin on opnsense but it still doesn't seem to connect. Do you mind posting a screenshot of your pfsense config?

Thanks for posting this!

Yeah this sucks, I just bought an a1 mini with AMS, I love it. I do have it in LAN Mode with no internet and I still use bambustudio since I believe that is open source no? Lets hope they reverse this but I don't see them doing that. Hope I can still use the printer without upgrading the firmware or somebody is able to make open source firmware for the a1 mini...

Man I hate tech space right now, every company grinding out as much money as possible anyway they can because "security"...

So I'm just not going to update mg firmware then? I'm already using lan only mkde, and if I have to start using an SD card I guess I can do that.

My A1 mini is 3 weeks old and I love it but this sucks.... It always starts with "security" and i can totally see them going subscription model and locking you into their ecosystem. I guess that's why it was so cheap and on sale haha. Sucks to see such an amazing product and success to go downhill so quickly...

If an employee did this and there was this much backlash that said employee would be promptly fired....

I have a 3 ZigBee sonoff switches: https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/devices/ZBMINIL2.html#sonoff-zbminil2

They are nice and don't require a neutral wire, you can't use these on 3 way switches but they are very nice and small. You then keep the aesthetic of whatever switch you use, paddle or flip switch.

The one thing I've noticed is that if you flip the switch on and off really quick about 3 times it disconnects from the mqtt server and needs to be repaired.

You could also go with a zwave or ZigBee inovelli switch which are nice but very expensive. They are very reliable and I have no complaints with the one zwave switch I have from them.

Dumb question but is there a way to automatically backup my compose files to my local gitea instance?

I'm just getting into 3d printing and I'm looking for some recommendations. My budget is $400 and I've narrowed it down to the sv06+ or the Ender-3 V3. I like that the print size is bigger on the sv06+ but all reviews point to the Ender, do you guys have any recommendations for me?

Also maybe the bambu a1? Or a1 mini? I don't like that the firmware isn't open source though.

I'm OK tinkering but just want some insight.

Thanks!

Figured out TCL roku (self.homeassistant)
submitted 3 months ago by Tinkerer to c/[email protected]

I just bought a 58" TCL TV with roku built in and could not get it to work with homeassistant. It would go offline after 20 minutes of being powered off. I have my IOT devices in a clan with no internet access but I decided to update the TV and it still didn't work.

What I found out I had to do was update the TV AND create a roku account so that this would finish the update. I then finally had the fast startup option and enabling that it works now! Even with internet access blocked again.

Hopefully this helps someone else.

Radicals and NPM (self.selfhosted)
submitted 8 months ago by Tinkerer to c/[email protected]

I've recently setup radicale using docker compose(tomsquestrwdicale-docker) and it works great I just can't get it to be accessible over the internet via my nginx proxy manager. Can somebody shed some light on what I need to do to get it working?

I've added the nginx code as stated in the docs to the advanced tab in NPM but still nothing.
