I certainly would

Because he’s a very, very ~~stupid~~ cruel person.

FTFY I'm tired of the narrative that he doesn't know what he is doing. He knows exactly what and why he is doing it

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 day ago

Yes indeed. We are already seeing the cruelty on display with ICE threats and raids, secret service going after 11 year olds, and just the incredible about of bullshit attempting to legally dehumanize trans people

Unfortunately so will everyone else. I can't foresee a lot of good endings for this one

Also make sure it is a masonry/ceramic bit. In my my experience that matters more than the diamond coating (I use very cheap steel bits). Drill press is also much easier to control speed and depth, so use that if you have one

Got ya. Glad it doesn't use much, that was going to be my next question. The only time I have had clogging is when using a many year old filament with bad dimensional accuracy that I did not run it through my dryer. So that is 100% on me.

Still running a V1 Ender 3 pro, though it does have a couple minor upgrades, but that thing is a surprising workhorse

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Oh, did you have an issue with clogging before using it? It is not something I deal with often enough to buy a consumable to fix

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 days ago

I lean towards metal frames, so have not had issues in a while, but the couple times I've had plastic frames I have had breakage or warping.

Do you see a huge difference with cleaning filament? I have been seeing it pop up lately, but I haven't had any issues not using it since 2017.

I have had glasses for a very long time and never broken a lens, but I have broken more than my fair share of frames. It takes a lot to break a lens, and plastic frames break pretty easily. The worst with lenses is scratches or chips (though chips are also rare for me), and some of that can be mitigated by cleaning with the right cloth. Not much can be done about drops or other accidents though

JFC it hasn't even been a week and shit is going down. They knew what they were doing would not be allowed to happen, so they pretended to be ICE. In what world is that better?

Is it possible to have a "style guide" for posting YouTube links? Usually there is just the title of the video and the generic YouTube blurb, and most of the time the title only vaguely tells you what the video is about. It would nice if in the description we could have folks post the length, the name of the creator, and a brief description of the video. If the creator has one, great, use that. If not, just a quick 1 or 2 sentence synopsis. I think this would help engagement for those posts a lot and just create better quality posts for video content. I know I don't watch or comment on any video post that just has a title.

It has been so great to see how horrible Vance is as a VP pick. I would hazard a guess that nobody else would say yes to Trump after he was willing to sacrifice Pence.

We went camping for the first time since getting the twin pomskis. They did so good! The fluffier pomski (Bliss) and the little havapoo (Poppy) were in a heated competition for who could bring home more of the forest floor.

It is a very hot weekend here in Seattle, but we got some disc golf in before it was miserable

I am very excited for the 1.0 release! My friends and I are currently playing a multiplayer game in Update 8, and we are so close to finishing all the space elevator parts for the first time.

I don't know if there is enough interest, but is it possible to get a maker community created? Some things like 3d printing don't always quite fit into DIY or Creative.

Ford and GM are probably regretting that switch to NACS...

We finished the last piece of the cat path I posted about earlier! This one goes from the laundry room, to the stairwell, and then into the guest bedroom on the upper floor (yes, I know the carpet needs replaced in that closet). They are already using them and seem to love the new path already.

My partner and I have been talking about making some cat paths in our house since long before we owned our house. We recently got 2 new dogs, so now it is a high priority project. The first step was putting up some shelves in the hallway and making a portal from the hallway to the bedroom closet (you can see it just above the tent). The surround for the portal is this 3D printed tunnel

The next project is going to be putting a portal from the spare bedroom into the stairwell so they can go up and down floors without the dogs being in the way

I am stripping and re-sealing a corner shower stall, and am having a hell of time removing all the old caulk. I also discovered the previous homeowners decided to just caulk over the previous caulk that was on there, so I am removing 2 or 3 layers depending on the location. It was leaking in the spots that had 3 layers so I think they just added more caulk to "fix" leaks. I have the chemical caulk remover, and that certainly helps, but it still is taking a metric fuck-ton of manual labor. Any tricks/suggestions for removal of very old caulk? I am about to throw a scotch brite on a palm sander and go to town.
