I was thinking along the lines of members of the public posting content “we shouldn’t let x people live and work here because y”.
Zip2
I was referring to eligible immigrants proving their right to work to a UK employer.
I think we’re nearing the point where we need to tell the USA to just fuck off for four years.
True. And visiting Lowestoft made Greta Thunberg change her mind about rising sea levels.
There’s far, far worse places then Norwich. Swindon for example, or anywhere north of Cheltenham.
This is missing the previous 10 minutes of them:
- carefully packing each item one at a time into the bags that are five feet away
- forgetting where they put their purse/wallet
- finding their glasses case
- putting their glasses on
- finding a huge wad of coupons and handing them all to the cashier in the hope one might be valid
- slowly reading what’s displayed on the contactless payment point
- finding their loyalty card
- finding a payment card and putting it in the machine, taking it back out, turning it around and putting it back in the correct way
- forgetting their PIN
- rummaging around for a post it note that might have the correct PIN written on it
- finding their phone, waiting for it to turn on so they can call three relatives, neighbours etc to see if they know the PIN.
- reopening the wallet to put the card away and getting cash out, starting with a tonne of coins
- being handed their receipt and having a conversation with the cashier
- moving about a foot away to put everything away again, but still managing to block the line
Fucking move it Dorris, you haven’t got long left.
And get that huge wad of coupons out and see if any of them are valid!
I felt it started heading down hill during Peter Capaldi’s era after the series where Jenna Coleman left. Jodie Whittaker never really got her chance to shine, and I was happy when Ncuti was announced as I was hoping the shows fortunes might turn around, I’d quite liked him in the other shows that he’d done.
I get the need to change things, and I never felt there was any agenda being pushed, but it really didn’t feel like Doctor Who.
There didn’t feel like anything was inherently wrong with any of it, it was just polished to the point of blandness. None of it was exciting, and I think Ncutis Doctor is far too nice to the point of it feeling like a different time lord altogether.
If it were up to me I’d kill Ncutis character off completely, go back to David Tennant and have him regenerate into another Matt Smith-esque Doctor. And maybe have Steven Moffat take the helm for a bit again.
I’ve always disliked large towns and cities unless they’re quick, easy and cheap to get in, around and back out again.
I like the countryside, but the older I get, the more I wish it had museums, art galleries etc.
Well, she didn’t see that coming.
Not yet, there’s only the one of them. Until you see a line of them behind a sofa….
