Essentially, accessibility, education, healthcare and social acceptance means people in Canada are on average behaving in a more empowered and responsible way around reproductive health. Less reason for abortions, and those that happen are happening at the correct time for the correct reasons to maximize the healthiest outcomes for everyone involved.

Yeah; in most of the places where there are housing issues, the problem isn’t skilled labour to build houses or a lack of building materials (although those can become issues) — it’s the cost and availability and accessibility of land. There’s no “on site” to assemble them on.

Can a dead person be deported or go to jail? Can they commit a crime?

Weird; I thought the warning would be for Canada, Denmark, China and the EU….

Pseudo, because we don’t actually find it to be of the people at all.

I’ve been wondering why nobody has taken this to the next level.

If 10 or so of these candidates had legally changed their names to Pierre Poilievre, that should be totally legal. They can change them back later.

Sir Pratchett was a genius. He will continue to be missed.

Also worth reading the books he co-wrote with Stephen Baxter.

Yeah, but it won’t fill the housing gap.

Those houses still have to be assembled somewhere.

The more likely solution is a big fibre optic rollout and getting all information workers out of the cities.

Every single time Russia has announced a ceasefire since it became a nation in the 90s, that’s been so they can move their troops into better positions unhindered. Often it has been followed by a brutal attack that cares nothing about civilian or Russian casualties.

I’m sure Ukraine knows this already.

The only problem now is we have to wait another 10+ days for the results.

Foxes in places where they’re the alpha scavenger; raccoons where they are. What other top scavengers are there globally?

COVID hasn’t gone away, and immunocompromised people can still die from it (or regular flu).

Although for people with regular immune systems, COVID seems no worse than the regular flu now; just in time for H5N1 and a measles mutation.
