Why not both?

I use syncthing for transferring files around my local network, and nextcloud for sharing files with others.

IMO these are related tools but designed with very separate use cases. Use the right tool for the job.

Maybe in the sense that it's needed in the first place. But in reality it's probably the single most lucrative investment we could make.

I hear you. It's super frustrating when buying, but at the same time you can get like double the price for your shit on marketplace while selling. That's a tough one to give up, even for the staunchest of meta critics.

I'm not going to switch away from them just yet... But I am going to start using an address with my own domain. My only regret is not doing this from the beginning.

That's a good point. I should have said "indistinguishable after some tinkering". You raise a valid complaint, though it's not a deal breaker for me.

Why is it a bad way to handle things?

I have an alias set up and SDKs enabled. The experience is indistinguishable from a regular install. But you could also layer it onto the os image or install it in user space if you don't like flatpaks for the extra resource usage or something. That's a complete non issue for me though.

I do my main development with Bazzite. I use the Neovim flatpak for my editor and toolbox for builds and such.

Usually tomatoes, but I've had them with tomato sauce too. I can't remember if I've had them with black olives, but I should! They're delicious and would totally improve upon a tuna melt.

Nah. I'll always play what I find interesting but I'll go by price, not generation (as a non console gamer, what even is a generation?). Played lots of early access / new releases this year, but never spent over $25 on any single game.

Have people never heard of a tuna melt? This is just a tuna melt. The only crime here is the pineapple. But I guess if you're into that kind of thing it would probably taste good to you.
