(I actually have no idea about the specifics of this, but I'm assuming it falls in the general shape of California trying to restrict access to murder tools and the murder tool vendor responding by finding ways around the law rather than just admitting their hobby and business kills people)

While they do suck in this case the demonstration is actually that someone who is trying to coddle the dot-ml groupthink shifts further and further into that groupthink for zero meaningful gains. They still got heavily downvoted despite trying to reach out to the hive mind. This is what happens to democrats who try to coddle the analogous republican groupthink. They too shift further into the groupthink and are punished by everyone for it.

That is very dumb. There's got to be a black market of this stuff but honestly you can probably get a comparable mini computer for a similar price off AliExpramazon. Might have to return it a few times but a lot of folks seem to have success with them. Pop Linux* on there and you're basically at parity.
