It was not showing wifi at all, until I uninstalled the -wl-dmks module. Then i could see the wifi but no connection was ever made, until the iwd backend took over. I have the 43602, so very similar chip but different setup to make it work afaik.

This is the fix I needed to get WiFi working. I had browsed several forums saying that removing broadcom-wl(-dkms) would fix the problems I was having, but it turns out you need to stop using wpa_supplicant due to a bug or something. Not sure why the AUR pkgbuild failed but it seems like this way was simpler anyway
Yeah, but the AUR build failed for me, so I just manually copied the WiFi iwd backend fix, it was only a couple short lines anyway.
Yeah that's fair, I know the crazy lengths they went to to get a clean sample. I think it was Dr Becky on yt I was watching that said they were being extremely cautious on how to even open the capsule.
Are we sure it wasn't just another contamination scenario, seems like its extraordinarily hard to get a clean sample and test it on Earth

I think they just forgot to include it in their photo lmao. Gsmarena shows it having a clear center camera and they show the specs for it, same sensor as the rear ultrawide.

In 2023 this incident was caught on camera, with multiple witnesses as well as a police officer claiming to see the same things. It's been the subject of much debate, but the vast majority of videos and comments about this event are pointing at video artifacts and shadows and claiming cloaking technology. The thing is, it is not at all about the shadow at the 0:26 mark a lot of morons point to. The other thing people pointed to was the "grey alien" at 1:16, which was just from compression and is not present in the original video.
Once you realize where it is, it is clear to me this is more than just a shadow or artifacts from the video. At around the 1:08 minute, until the very end of the video it is just standing there, a tall, mantis like creature. At least, that's what I can see, its a bit too dark to actually see it in full detail, but I think it even moves a bit. In the picture below with the red circle showing what I am talking about, I see a clear abdomen, arm, long neck and triangle head. One of the witnesses stated it was a one of multiple ~8 foot tall creatures with grey/green color with a large head, becoming paralyzed from its gaze. Absolutely horrifying.
